There are so many articles available on the effects of soda, caffeine, sugar, etc. and with so much information available you would think that parents would believe it, or at least put it to the test, and figure out that the best thing they can do for their kids is not give them soda and limit their daily sugar intake! I’d like to share a few experiences on the subject of soda causing hyperactivity in kids. My only hope is that it will encourage you to do more research and possibly put it to the test in your own family.
Shortly after my second child was born, I noticed that if I sat for any long period of time and then got up to walk, my right hip just didn’t want to cooperate right away. It felt tender for about the first 6 or 7 steps, causing me to almost walk with a limp until it decided to function properly. And I was only 30 years old! I thought to myself…..”What is up with my hip?!!” When I described it to my mother-in-law about a year later, she said it sounded like arthritis. I researched it and discovered this can happen to some women as a result of all the nutrients a baby robs from you during pregnancy!
