Suffering from Hay Fever?

Suffering from Hay Fever?

I discovered 23 years ago, after suffering with hay fever about 8-9 months of the year, that by taking Shaklee’s Alfalfa everyday, I had absolutely no hay fever symptoms whatsoever!  No runny nose, no sneezing, no itchy throat, no itchy eyes and no more sleepless nights!  All that is gone….and I’ve been SO HAPPY!!!

I take it year-round just because I know how beneficial it is in general.  Those trace minerals it contains do wonders for sinus issues in general; some people take higher amounts to help with arthritis (it’s a natural anti-inflammatory); and it is wonderful for digestive issues.

Are you tired of spending a fortune on over-the-counter medicines? Does this sound like a product that could help you?

Household cleaners can have a direct effect on asthma/allergy symptoms in children

Household cleaners can have a direct effect on asthma/allergy symptoms in children

A few years ago, I had a Shaklee table at a family consignment store event and although my main focus was on “Helping Kids Find Their Happy Face”, among the people who stopped to talk to me, there was a woman who had heard of Shaklee and knew they had cleaners. She had already shared with me that her child, about the age of 6, had many health issues, asthma and several allergies being amongst them. She asked about Shaklee’s cleaners because she had heard they were known for being the greenest products on the market and she had also heard about how chemicals in cleaners might have a direct effect on asthma/allergy symptoms in children.

Feeling stiff….and hoping to prevent joint issues as you age?

Feeling stiff….and hoping to prevent joint issues as you age?

One of my grandmothers (who I take after more than anyone else in the family), had bad knees and eventually ended up having knee surgery in her 70’s. Being so much like her in so many ways, and understanding the importance of “preventing” something before it becomes an issue, I decided to get back on (I took it years ago due to arthritis in my hip…click here for that post) at least one of Shaklee’s Joint Health Complex (which I take at bedtime) to keep the cartilage in all my joints lubricated and fed, in hopes to avoid any serious loss of cartilage, as I age. And remember, I had no pain in any of my joints, so I didn’t expect to feel anything different…..but funny thing was …. I actually did!

A child’s never too young to have a set “bedtime”!

A child’s never too young to have a set “bedtime”!

Some of the best advice my mother ever gave me was to establish a bedtime for my kids within just a few weeks of them being born! I know that probably sounds crazy to some people, but it IS possible, it’s so healthy for your child (emotionally and physically) and……. it’s very beneficial to the happiness and emotional stability of you, as parents!

Are your kids suffering from growing pains?

Are your kids suffering from growing pains?

Many kids suffer from growing pains at different times of their development, especially during those growth spurts when they start eating you out of house and home!! Although growing pains are looked at by most people as “normal”….they sure aren’t necessary! When my family and I started taking Shaklee’s nutritional supplements 22 years ago, my kids were about 3 & 7. Years later when they were almost grown, I got into a conversation with a friend who happen to mention how terribly her kids suffered from growing pains or as some people know them, leg pains or muscle cramps, off and on during their childhood. I started asking around and discovered that this is a very common occurrence with kids, and it was then that I realized my kids hadn’t EVER experienced growing pains!
